SCOTT NELSON
Scott Nelson was born in Harlan, Iowa. He graduated from Harlan Community High School in 2006 and obtained his Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Des Moines Area Community College in 2009. He enrolled in the Mortuary Science Program at Des Moines Area Community College, graduating in 2010. Since 2006, Scott worked at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan, Iowa and began his internship with Mitchell Family Funeral Home in November of 2010. After his internship is completed in December, 2011, Scott will become a Licensed Funeral Director. Scott is very honored to be assisting the families in the Marshall County area.

Scott is a member of the Iowa Funeral Directors Association (IFDA), National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) and American Society of Embalmers. Outside of the funeral profession, Scott enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His passions include the outdoors, hunting, fishing, barbecuing, and vacationing.
